WrestleMania Reading Challenge

Why should you enter the WrestleMania Reading Challenge? It’s EASY, you have a good chance of winning, and the prizes are AWESOME!

What is the reading challenge?

  • Write a short letter to your favorite WWE Superstar to try to convince him/her to read your favorite book

Who may enter?

  • It’s open to kids and teens in grades 5 – 12! (There will be 3 winners from the West Region, so one from each grade category: 5-6, 7-8, 9-12).

What could you win?

  • A trip for two to WrestleMania® 29 held on April 7, 2013 in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
  • Air travel to the New York City.
  • Two tickets to WrestleMania.
  • Three nights’ hotel accommodations.
  • Transportation from airport to hotel.
  • $300 spending money.
  • An opportunity to compete in the WrestleMania 29 Reading Challenge Final Competition.
  • $2,000 and a set of DK Books donated to the Grand Prize Winner’s public library.

How are the essays judged?

  1. Demonstrated knowledge of WWE Superstar to whom the letter is addressed and ability to convince him/her to read the book.
  2. Development and clarity of the idea(s) expressed.
  3. Creativity.

Pick up an entry form at the Tacoma Public Library or print one out here. Return essays to me by December 10, 2012 to be entered!
